PadraigC This feels so 'real & live' , the sounds are very playful, even though there are so many moods throughout this piece.
It's thoroughly enjoyable and very inspiring.

about

Patrick McMinn and Jessica Keyes had a piano in their front yard being reclaimed by the elements. After a few weeks of my pestering, Patrick said to come over. Although we had mutual friends and engaged online via "crack and sip" videos, Patrick and I had not met in person. Turns out we both liked improvisational and electronic music as well as Twin Peaks. It was a lot of fun and a precursor to future live improvisations via the Mid-Atlantic Wilderness shows hosted by Jessica Keyes.

The piano's body was on the ground as the legs were no longer there. Bricks were placed on the keys for those strings to ring out. I brought metal finger picks (you can hear me throw them at some point) and Patrick had mallets and other percussive toys.

Only compression, EQ, light mastering, and the fade out ending was added to the original recording. When the recording begins, you hear wind, chimes, and Patrick saying "good to go" right away.

This is the second improvisation recorded on May 5th, 2021. Sections of the first improvisation were included on Eihwaz by Codons. (codons.bandcamp.com/album/eihwaz).
